Come to the Garden of the August Moon was held at The Phoenix on August 21, 2004. The evening of enchantment and indulgence - Caracole's 5th annual gala - began with cocktails, followed by dinner in the Archway Ballroom amidst the exotic and calming beauty of the Orient. After dinner and the live auction, dancing took place in the Cincinnati Room until midnight. Ongoing entertainment was provided by our gala Geishas- the I.C.Q.C.C.B.E. Reigning Empress, Miss Truly Scrumptious, and the Imperial Crown Princess, Miss Penny Tration.

In addition to having the opportunity to purchase Mystery Boxes, our guests were able to participate in a silent auction consisting of one-of-a-kind ceramic platters designed and painted by nationally renowned and local area artists, authors, designers and musicians. J. Karp hosted our live auction that included two-five course dinners for 16 guests donated by Jeff Thomas Catering, platters painted by Jim Borgman and Jeff Stahler, custom designed jewelry donated by Koop Diamond Cutters and an absolutely beautiful sushi dinner set designed and painted by our friends at FRCH.

This year’s Event Chairpersons were Nancy Brinker and Jim Kelly. Other Event Committee members included Janet Ach, Carol Boymel, Mary Gimpel, Theresa Rice-Monford and Jeff Thomas.
