On September 23rd, Caracole staff and board said goodbye to one of Cincinnati’s legendary drag queens – Caracole style! Supporters gathered at the Golden Lion’s Lounge in Clifton to pay tribute to Truly Scrumptious, who will be retiring after over 15 years of supporting the community via drag shows. The evening started with an Italian dinner made especially by the staff and board, and a spectacular show, featuring some of Truly’s biggest fans, was the crowning glory if the evening. Bruce Bryant, manager the GL, has this to say about Truly: “Truly Scrumptious has proven to be a tremendous asset to the GL in our efforts to raise money for Caracole. We recognize her professionalism and talent – Thank you truly for a job well-done!” Linda Seiter, ED for Caracole, says, “Truly will be missed not just by Caracole, but by everyone in Cincinnati who has witnessed her dedication to our community.” We will miss you Truly! Caracole would also like to give special thanks to Bruce and the Golden Lions staff for their efforts to raise funding for Caracole throughout the year via the Circles of Hope shows.
