Caracole received a visit from rock star activist Bono and actor/comedian Chris Tucker on December 6, 2002.

Bono, Chris Tucker, and others visited several mid-west cities to help raise AIDS awareness on local levels as well as bring more attention to the AIDS epidemic in Africa.

The “Heart of America” tour was sponsored by DATA, an organization working to join organizations and people from around the world to stop the spread of AIDS and extreme poverty in Africa.

Bono and Mr. Tucker had lunch with Caracole staff, clients, board members, key funders, and representatives from The Faith Initiative and AVOC. Among our guests was rock star Peter Frampton -- a local Cincinnatian and supporter of various pediatric HIV/AIDS organizations.
