POSITION DESCRIPTION
Caracole positively changes lives in the fight against HIV/AIDS through housing, prevention and care.  We will be hiring several different positions providing a mix of outreach, HIV testing and education, assertive, community based interventions and case management, and linkage to care for individuals with HIV or at high risk for HIV.  This is a new program that we will create together based on best practice models.  Work independently and as a strong member of a small team. 

QUALIFICATIONS
Requires bachelor’s degree in social work, health education or related field; or four years skilled experience with health education, case management or outreach. Demonstrated sensitivity to persons living with chronic diseases (HIV/AIDS and addiction) and co-existing social, mental and physical health conditions. Reliable transportation and daily travel within our region, working in SW Ohio, N. Kentucky and SE Indiana.  

EMPLOYMENT TYPE
Full-Time. Several slightly different jobs are available; we will discuss options at interview   

SALARY
$35,000-45,000 depending on the position.

Associate Director of Housing

 


POSITION DESCRIPTION
Caracole positively changes lives in the fight against HIV/AIDS through housing, prevention and care.  The Associate Director of Housing oversees all permanent housing services with responsibility for guiding, developing and implementing new programs within the Housing Department, working with the Director of Client Services. Hires, manages, supports and directly supervises Caracole’s housing staff—6 direct reports.

Ensures completion and timely submission of grant applications and required reports. Provides leadership and direction to ensure that services are delivered at the highest quality level, in accordance with housing best practices and in compliance with funding/auditing bodies. Serves as a member of the management and leadership teams. Represents Caracole and participates in advocacy activities, task forces and community work groups

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in social work or related field or equivalent experience. Demonstrated management, supervisory or leadership experience in a for-profit or non-profit setting. Demonstrated experience with HIV/AIDS, homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance use. Must possess knowledge about a range of service networks with a strong commitment to collaboration. Proven ability to work successfully with diverse client populations, families and support systems and community agencies. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with basic computer abilities.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE
Full-Time.

$60,000

Housing Specialist


POSITION DESCRIPTION
Caracole positively changes lives in the fight against HIV/AIDS through housing, prevention and care.  As a member of a housing team, the specialist assist households in securing and maintaining safe and affordable housing. As a member of the housing team, the Housing specialist directly assists clients affected by HIV/AIDS and their family members who are participating in or moving to one of Caracole’s permanent supportive housing programs. Builds and maintains positive working relationships with landlords, advocates and other community providers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Four-year degree or equivalent experience. Basic knowledge of special needs of people living with HIV/AIDS, mental health, substance use, and homelessness. Must be flexible in working with a diverse population. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and basic computer abilities. Must have reliable transportation, driver’s license and insurance to transport clients.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE
Full-Time

SALARY
Hourly: $17.80–$18.15
