Prevention Department: Outreach Worker / Health Educator

As a member of the prevention team, the outreach worker / health educator conducts HIV tests, prepares and presents are medically accurate, culturally competent human sexuality education programs to individuals and groups, and helps to facilitate access to care for individuals at risk for HIV.
Degree in health promotion or related field and/or experience teaching human sexuality programs preferred. Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) preferred. Ability to facilitate sensitive subject matter in an appropriate, professional manner and to work cooperatively with a people of all ages, genders, gender identities, races, religions, sexual orientation and national origin. Basic knowledge of special needs of people living with HIV/AIDS, mental health, substance use, and homelessness. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and basic computer abilities. Must have reliable transportation, driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the tristate region. Must be available to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Full-Time Hourly: Starting rate 15.40- $15.90/hr.
