Join our Roam Away from Home:
A Real-Life Scavenger Hunt!
Anytime the weekend of October 9–11
Sign up as an individual or with your quarantine crew to gather clues and complete outdoor challenges at your own pace without crowds throughout Cincinnati! Great fun for adults and children!
You choose the date and time —just make sure you participate between Friday, October 9 to Sunday, October 11.

Go at your own pace—it’s not a race! But that doesn't mean you can't win! All those who finish the scavenger hunt will be entered into a raffle to win some great prizes such as a $500 Target Gift Card, a $150 Meijer Gift Card, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 tablets, Starbucks Coffee Gift baskets and much more!
Registration is now closed.
Please email Megan Green at mgreen@caracole.org with questions.
Happy hunting!
Things to Know:
- This process will take approximately 2.5 hours. It does not have to be completed all at once. Feel free to spread it out over the weekend.
- No place that you will be asked to visit requires an entry fee and all locations will be outside.
- No place that you will be asked to visit will have an age limit.
Things to Take:
- Reliable transportation and a driver with a valid driver's license
- Cell phone with access to cellular data
- Your game play starter kit
How to participate safely:
Participant safety and health is of the upmost importance to our organization. For this reason, all event logistics have been decided with this in mind. All scavenger sites will be restricted to the outdoors (hey, that's a major hint!)
We have extended this event to take place over the course an entire weekend. Staggered participation will help to minimize any interaction with other players. If you happen to see another Caracole supporter during your hunt, please say hello—from a distance of at least 6 ft.!
We just ask that you follow CDC guidelines and maintain a minimum of six feet apart from those who are not your quarantine buddies.
In addition, for your safety, we will be capping the number of participants.

Can’t join in the fun?
For those unable to join or for our friends who live out of state or too far to travel for this experience, we look forward to seeing you roam away from your home when it is safe to do so again. Please know we rely heavily on our fundraising events to meet the costs crucial to fulfilling our mission and donations are always welcome.
